Are you aware of what you truly are or how you fit into the bigger picture of life? If not, than chances are you are sleepwalking through life. Sleepwalking through life is a symptom where you don't feel like getting out of the bed in the morning and when you do, you wake up with the same monotonous routine of attending natures call, having breakfast, doing daily activities etc, without any stimulation and enthusiasm. You tend to remain constantly worried or anxious and always remain double minded in day to day activities. Someone asks you a question and you don't even hear it. Many things contribute to sleepwalking - grief, pain, disappointment, lack of clarity, or the dark unknown, unfamiliarity of change.
Your emotional state is such that it remains dependent on others mood and take other peoples' emotions on without being consciously aware. You remain at constant disbelief at yourself with all pessimistic thoughts like "I'm not capable," "I'm not lovable," or "I'm not smart."
Sleepwalking through life is treacherous because subconsciously it makes you less productive in life and puts you in a state of mind where you lose your zeal and aspirations.
Most of us have the problem of sleepwalking through your life. But the good news is that if you can recognize that you are experiencing any of the above problems than probably you waking up and start to think how you feel, believe in yourself and act. This is the first step towards change. To heal yourself you need to acknowledge that you have a problem. When you know who you truly are, what you want, and how to bring about your deepest desires, you are alive, awake and present to every moment of your life. This is self-discovery once you awake from what is called sleepwalking through life.
You need to realize that it is amazing to wake up every day as a new beginning with zeal and excitement to fulfil dreams and desires understanding your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs not being afraid to feel and express the emotion. So make a choice. Wake up to your life-your new life.
You know by consciously bringing qualitative experiences and awareness to your negative thoughts and emotions, you are able to understand and release them and create new positive emotions, thoughts and patterns that support your true self that you truly seek in life. If what you choose doesn't work, just push the reset button and choose again. The best thing about life is that if you wake up tomorrow, you get to push the reset button and choose again, course-correct and start again differently. How amazing is that? You don't have to wait until a major life shift occurs to make positive changes. You can do it today.
